This bundle covers the 2021 editions of six International Code Council model codes: the International Building Code, International Mechanical Code, International Fuel Gas Code, International Energy Conservation Code, International Fire Code and International Plumbing Code.

Together they span building design and construction, HVAC, fuel gas, energy efficiency, fire safety and plumbing for commercial projects.

Codes in this bundle

• 2021 International Building Code (IBC): The model code for all buildings except detached one- and two-family dwellings and townhouses up to three stories. The 2021 edition adds rules for escape rooms, requires sprinklers in Group S-2 open parking garages with a fire area over 48,000 square feet, and updates snow and rain loads to ASCE 7.
• 2021 International Mechanical Code (IMC): Minimum regulations for HVAC, ventilation, exhaust and other mechanical systems. The 2021 edition sets a 3-foot clearance from dryer exhaust terminals to building openings and allows 30 percent less ventilation for balanced systems.
• 2021 International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC): Design and installation of fuel gas systems and gas-fired appliances. The 2021 edition accepts press-connect joints for indoor high pressure piping over 5 psi and bars commercial cooking appliances from dwelling units.
• 2021 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC): Energy efficiency requirements for residential and commercial buildings, including the building envelope, mechanical systems and lighting.
• 2021 International Fire Code (IFC): Fire prevention, fire department access, sprinkler and alarm systems, hazardous materials and emergency planning. The 2021 edition adds rules for 3D printing equipment, energy storage systems and construction site safety plans.
• 2021 International Plumbing Code (IPC): Minimum regulations for plumbing facilities. The 2021 edition permits multiple-user all-gender toilet facilities, adds two sewer relining methods and includes the ICC A117.1-2017 plumbing provisions.
